ALLERGIES

Co-Enzyme Q10 – Research suggests that low Co-Q10 levels are linked to certain cancers. It has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of cancer cells in vitro and the growth of cancer cells.

E-Tea – is an encapsulated form of Essiac Tea. Some of the specific herbs contained in the mixture have shown some anti-cancer effects.

CATARACTS

EW – was designed to support optimal eye health. This blend is beneficial for this condition.  It can be used externally by making an eyewash as well as adding it to the pets food.  If free radicals are a cause of cataracts, then the antioxidant Vitamins E & Selenium, Vitamin C and Vitamin A, which prevent free-radical damage, are crucial.  One study found that vitamin C daily had a significant reduction in cataract risk.  Inositol is part of the vitamin B complex, which has been shown to be protective against the development of cataracts. Recent research has pointed to a molecule called pantethine, which is present in all cells of the body, as helping in preventing the clumping of proteins in the eye that causes cataracts. CONSTIPATION  

There are several reasons for constipation.  If it is the result of some physical change, obstruction, or distortion in your colon then get immediate attention from a vet. If constipation results from poor digestion, parasites or other functional reason, then natural remedies can be very helpful.

Be cautious if you plan on using Brewers Yeast, as some pets are allergic to Brewers Yeast.

Vitamin C Ascorbates – is a potent anti-oxidant, an anti-inflammatory agent, anti-viral and immune stimulant.  Pets can manufacture their own vitamin C but they may not produce enough to counter the effects of health problems. The major deficiency syndrome of vitamin C is scurvy. Symptoms of scurvy include inflamed and bleeding gums, impaired wound healing, dry eyes and mouth, muscle weakness, frequent infections, anemia, diarrhea, pulmonary and kidney problems. In fact, studies in dogs and horses suggest that daily vitamin C supplementation might be beneficial in reducing chronic inflammation. In degenerative or inflammatory conditions, collagen breakdown is excessive, resulting in joint discomfort and skeletal changes.  Ordinary vitamin C may cause gastrointestinal upsets in pets but Ascorbates are rapidly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract.

Chlorophyll – is "plant blood." Its chemical structure is almost identical to hemoglobin, one of the components of human blood, except the central atom of chlorophyll is magnesium and the central atom of hemoglobin is iron. It is also a very good source of vitamin K - deficiencies are related to excess bleeding. Vitamin K is also necessary for the calcification of bone.
